Do I have to drive somewhere to get my glass fixed?
No. We specialize in Mobile Service, sending an installation specialist to your vehicle. Whether at home or work, we’ll meet your scheduling needs. You may also drop your vehicle off at an authorized GlassMax location of your choice. There is no additional charge if we come to you.
Can you repair (rather than replace) auto glass?
Yes. GlassMax can repair many types of windshield damage using the latest windshield repair technology.
Is it safe to use glass that doesn’t come from my vehicle’s manufacturer (i.e. Ford)?
Absolutely, we use only DOT-certified glass that complies with all required Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Practically all of our replacement glass products are furnished by OEM auto glass manufacturers. These companies work hand in hand with auto manufacturers to maximize safety and performance.
What are the differences between DOT-certified glass and other aftermarket glass?
Non-OEM part suppliers typically focus on cheap aftermarket products, where the strict quality control requirements of auto manufacturers may be sidestepped. This can lead to noise, leakage, fitment and even safety issues. We at GlassMax use only the best OEM-grade products and materials on the market, which is why we utilize PPG glass and DOW adhesives
Can I drive my vehicle right after the install is complete?
For best results you should wait 2 to 4 hours. The vehicle can be safely driven 1 hour after the work is finished but only if necessary. Weather, dampness and temperature can prolong adhesive curing time so ask your GlassMax installation specialist how much time is needed before driving. |

Can I use my insurance company to pay for the service?
Yes, and in most cases GlassMax handles the entire insurance claim process for you. Once you schedule service with us, we will confirm your glass coverage and help you place the claim directly with your insurance company.
Will my insurance company waive my deductible if my windshield is repaired rather than replaced?
Many insurance companies cover windshield repair 100% with no deductible. A GlassMax representative will be happy to help you with your questions regarding your specific insurance coverage. Call 1-866-MAX-GLASS to speak with a representative today.
Can I call my insurance company to ask about my policy without filing a claim?
Inquiring about your policy coverage and deductibles is generally not considered a claim. Insurance companies will not consider auto glass damage as a claim on your policy in many cases. To be certain, please refer to your policy or contact your agent and/or insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage. |
